Default harmony to symphony

have don a swop but when i turn on the symophoney it sez rover can i make it say mg or is it a lost cause

Hiya..... I too have the Symphony fitted........ The same, turn on....ROVER is what appears........Don't know if it can be changed, would not of thought so..

I think you are stuck with Rover Andy, I've certainly never read of anybody getting into the software of the Symphony to adjust it.

I think you have an early one as the later ones didn't have any message.
The one I had in my ZT never displayed anything on start up and it was factory fitted.

all the ZT's and 75's i have seen and been in have the rover message come up on the screen on the symphony

Mines a Symphony is 2003 Mk1, all it's says is code when switched on.

Maybe you have the code facility switched off then.... I believe you can do this..Mine says ROVER......If I have had the battery off and need to reinstate the code..... Then it then follows with code....

Could indeed be that. Mine does not say anything and does not need a code after battery off.
Perhaps if you find how to switch the code off the Rover message will disappear.

Told by the dealership that supplied my car new; Symphony was coded by dealers, most often only by request of owner, otherwise they were left uncoded. Harmony was generally coded by factory so most supplied with code applied. Mine was not coded and after battery off still comes on as normal.

Mine says ROVER and was supplied new by SMC Trading.
