Absolute brilliant mod, Steve. Well done .
Could I ask a few questions before I put my name down for a set: 1. Is it much harder to close the boot with the springs in place? 2. Is it a good idea to shrink the wrap so tightly around the springs? What happens to it when the springs are compressed?

Just a thought, I have a boot mounted warning triangle, does this weigh more or less than a spoiler?
Might need some adjustment if it adds a significant amount of weight. |

Quote:
1. The boot is harder to close because you have to overcome the spring tension, but I can still close the boot no problem with one hand. 2. It's totally up to the individual if they want to use the shrink wrap or not. It's purely for aesthetics, but in answer to the question, there is just enough space between each spring coil for the shrink wrap to compress and stretch.
