Can you not use your existing control box and cables/plugs with the 2-speed fan?

Yes its an odd thing to do - cut off the cables. These units normally come with cables/plugs attached. I bought one myself a few weeks back.

I'm guessing you have not yet taken the unit off your car. When you do, all should become much clearer and I have no doubt you can use the existing control box, just remove the wires from the relays that go to the old motor and attach the new ones instead, although its not a straight swap. But you do have the new control box as a guide, its the same as your old one (diesel).

Plenty of background reading & pics on this site, more searching needed! But Jules is the expert on this and he may well convince you to buy a Kenlowe instead.

Hi Arctic,
Yes, should be a straight swap. You have bought a 2-speed fan with resistor and a control box for a Diesel. So the connections from fan to control box & resistor are already in place, just swap in your old control box to replace the one you have bought. OR you can keep the new box and transfer the old cables to it. Whatever is easier really.

Wiring will become obvious when you remove your old cable/plug/box from the car. Remember that the red wire from the motor connects to the brown from the cable and will not touch the box.

Meanwhile you can test the motor as planned. Hope this goes well for you!
