Hi AndyV
I am sure i have read somewhere that the 3 speed wiring is different in that four wires come from the motor but in the 2 speed only to wires to be honest my head is spinning with will it or wont it fit because the guy cut the wires right back as in the photo's

Pic of 3 speed motor and the link http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=45121

Your best bet is to wait and have a word with Jules..

In fact if it were me, I would take the car to Jules, and let him worry about it. lol..

The point I was trying to make in my last post is that the wiring of the 2-wire motor into the diesel control box has already been done by the previous owner. The cut wires all went down the big cables to the 2 plugs. The connections to the motor are still in place and this box is identical to the one in your car.

So its really not that big a deal, once you have it side-by-side with the parts from your car, it will be a lot clearer!

I'm sure everyone would be interested to see the wiring diagram. Why not post it up here? It would certainly help in the dozens of queries that come in on this topic.

i dont know if it would be against any rules because of where i got it from. If any one has a diagram for the 2 speed i could probably make a conversion diagram, I havent been able to find one yet. haynes and autodata only have the 3 speed diagram. Derek

Just discovered this thread buy keith on installing kenlowe fan if you scroll down there are wiring instructions for original control box http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=10867. I think with these instructions yo could use your loom and just conect the fan upto you box, It also shows the cuts needed to get fan off and on with out touching aircon. Derek

Looks to be in quite a mess that control box!
I would avoid using it.
The green copper oxide on one of the cables probably has run right through the length of it!
The wiring is quite different from a 3 speed box which switches positives at output.

The later 2 speed switches 2 negatives to the motor (one being via the resistor)

You will need to swap the thick brown and blacks over at the plug end in effect carrying out a polarity change.
But then the thin black that is earth for the PCB will have to be cut and taken to ground.
Less cable joins if you do it that way.

Purple circuit becomes redundant .

No that's the copycat on fleebay who copied my invention from 2005!
You'll find my resistor kits in my forum shop link below................and they pre-drilled and come with glue lined heatshrink as the cable joints must be waterproofed.

Good luck

I think Jules is saying the control box is no good to use but aslong as motor works you should be able to use your 3 speed control box, Just need to change + and - around in the socket. Have you done the battery test on the 2 speed yet? Derek

Hi Derek
I hope that is what he is saying fingers crossed no have not tested yet as i am unsure about which wires i use to test it.
I really appreciate the time and effort you are putting into helping, but because i am not great with electrics i am very wary to start taking the bummper off before i know where i am with all this, i have still not checked the 2 speed on the spare battery yet as i am unsure which wire i need to put to the + and the - took these pice below.

i am presuming i link the brown to the +pos and the gray to the -neg
