the imf looks a simple piece of kit,its just effectively a o ring, and if experience of o rings on boilers are anything to go buy they are useless at doing there job and can fail at any time

Hiya John, Talago, George, Mark... Well, it is running like a sick pig now, sounds like it is misfiring......So it is not the plugs or leads.....I have a new rad that is going to be fitted tomorrow....I bought it months ago because I thought i saw small drops of water on the under tray and pink staining on the very corner of the rad...Wondering if it is worth having it done now or just having the manifold gasket replaced instead |

Radiator wouldn't make it run off. Water must be getting into the cylinder(s). I would try the cheapest thing first and try the inlet gasket. Do you have someone who can do this or are you relying on garages?

Hiya Mark. My Brother is quite a competent mechanic...Even Head Gaskets, belts etc;.... I could even have the h/g changed I suppose.... But I will always worry about it every day, like I have since this one has been fitted... Although the uprated MLS Gasket... Not good worrying all the time is it.. |
