Slam panel, Crash beam what's this?
I have my slam panel and crash beam off as a complete unit at the moment. I'm pretty meticulous in my work and the workshop area was cleared and cleaned before I started. Low and behold I noticed on the floor just below the offside headlight this double washer. It is possible it's just an errant interloper as i am blowed if I can see where it may have come from. It's a double washer, one is nylon and the other rubber.
Does it belong somewhere or did it just creep in unnoticed? Nigel |

Spot on shout. sits around the fuel burning heater external sensor, held in place by the electrical plug to keep it all nice and tight in position

Ah, that would make sense of where it came from. Thank you.
I don't have a FBH so I need to work out exactly where it goes. The front end has obviously been off before so it may have just been hanging on somewhere. I was very careful with removal and certainly didn't spot it during the dismantle process.Must have been stuck to the plug. N Last edited by Ennine; 29th April 2013 at 16:34.. |

Sensor sits on a bracket just by the oil cooler pipes on the driverside

If you don't have a FBH, then I'd have thought there would be no FBH ambient sensor anyway ??
