Enough! I don't know about anyone else but I have had just about all I can take.
Society is being taken over by timid snowflakes who, so it appears, are uncomfortable with living in a grown up world that isn't protective enough for them, from what I can see they expect the world to change in order to hide their lack of confidence to be an individual. The latest is the naming of a box of tissues, a few days ago I read an article about how a mother was asked by a group of parents not to take her son to a playground between certain times as they were trying to keep it themselves for girls only. It seems they didn't want a infant male influence on their offspring's playtime. Recently, Manchester University Students Union were reported to be encouraging 'jazz hands' as an alternative to applause, one of the reasons given was to protect people with anxiety issues. This is not a new thing however, last year the same Students Union stated that there would be 'consequences' for those who were found to be clapping. I keep hearing 'It's not the 1900's anymore, this is 2018, we have moved on' To what?! A feeble society driven by the need not to be challenged, and have each person's fears accommodated for at what cost, is each individual's growth by experiencing all that is good or bad, or to each of our taste going to be phased out in favour of a homogenised flavourless existance in order to avoid hurting some poor little soul's feelings? In order to take a stand, it's my intention to pander to none of this piffle and if anyone finds themselves offended or challenged, then I hope it helps them to grow up.
