Hello, I will now try to repair my gearbox.

I always get jerks when I change gears, especially 1-2 and 2-3.
I also get jerks when I’m braking.
I drained the gearbox several times and the level is good.

I tested the solenoids and they are all good.

can you get her on t4 to see if you have any autobox stored codes ? i keep going back to my post that suggested a problem with the t.p.s . in my case it was unplugged. do you have e.p displayed on the ipk ? mine did not even when the t.p.s was disconnected. your description of jerking and clunk whilst the box goes up or down is exactly the same as mine did. quite forcefull too. worth checking before you strip the box down ... that will be some experience im sure !! (not to mention the cost and obtaining parts) have a look at t4 first if you can . all the best.

you have to accept some jerking on the box.for example if you drive down a hill with foot off the accelerator and than lightly apply the footbrake for more than 2 or 3 seconds it will indeed change down with a jerk as the brake duty solenoid cuts in. thats normal. second to third on mine can be harsh at times but usually only when im accelerating hard. dont try to compare these nearly 25 yr old boxes with modern ones . not sure if you can access autobox with toaf as i dont have it. a member on here had electrical problems very recently which he thought was a mechanical issue but all was resolved with a fuse change. you could also try a battery reset if you have not already. and again pull out / inspect plug wires and spray/clean and reconnect the t.p.s sensor plug a number of times(under the throttle body housing.) its possible you could have a bad connection. nothing to lose here. .....

Hello guys, after changing my thermostat, I will now take care of my automatic gearbox.

I noticed that all my engine mounts were broken (I ordered them on dmgrs).
The hydramount is leaking and the others are cracked and move around a lot.

I would replace all this as soon as the parts are received. I hope the box will be smoother.

The gearbox oil level is good (oil replaced recently) and the solenoids are all good ( tested several times).
I'll keep you informed.

Goodbye, thank you for your answers.

Renewing The mounts will make a big difference to how it feels when you change them.

Good evening, I changed the engine mounts.

The gearbox is a little smoother now, but I always feel jerk in the second and third gears.

I’m driving like this for the moment, it's not akward.
Good bye.
