Unless you can see pictures of how it was it's a minefield.
Was it just the odd scratch or ding . Or has it been a bare metal repair. Or dents that disturb the base coat down to the metal.
Mechanically repairs are fine you have trouble hiding a bad or bodge job..
Mine is 2 years newer and had a small car park ding repair . And osr lower sill so why a respray ! .
But it's real tempting

Primrose is notorious for fading to white.

I looked it up and it is a connoisseur, strangely. I prefer the velour seats myself!

A facelift Connoisseur had cloth as standard (they were a similar spec to a Mk1 Club really). You had to go to a Connoisseur SE in a facelift to get leather on the standard 75 seats

What is unusual is that it has a (plastic) walnut dash, but should have light oak. Guess it must've been swapped at some point.

Tell me about it. I am looking to get the top of mine (bonnet roof and boot) sprayed because its now completely gone after 20 years. The sides of the car and bumpers are still primrose and side on it looks ok.
