Wanted: An RS for East Midlands

Hello All.

As above really, we need someone to take up the role of Regional Secretary, get some interest going and perhaps organise the odd meet or event of some kind.

Not expecting miracles, even a meet every couple of months would be better than what we have now!

Who would be up for it?

I did offer after the last one was Banned from the site, but wasn't deemed suitable, due to my Political opinions, so good luck finding someone!

Yep I'm down in Swansea with my Son Jake, the previous RS, now as he's about to complete his University studies. He enjoyed the role and did actually stand-down because of his disappointment with the lack of progress being made before he was banned.

Although running the Enthusiasts' site now, (with two others from Lincolnshire; Carl and Dave) I am sure he would be happy to meet up with anyone who decides to take the role on. There may never be any recognition/partnership between the two organisations on an overall level permitted by the management here, but I do believe he would very happy to create a strong link on a local level.

Good luck to whoever takes on the role.

Be interesting to know what the criteria to be suitable actually are.

In my humble opinion, better to have someone that's active on the forum (who might not be 100% approved of), who will get things moving, rather than just have an area stagnant. Seems to me the areas with more meets generally have more active members because of the meets and social side.

Good to hear Jake is ok and doing well, am sure the offer of insight would be of benefit to any new RS.

I had mentioned the need for an RS in general chat before, but it was your wanted thread that prompted me to start this one!
