Hoping for a quick solution to this one.

Neighbour just knocked the door, my 75, parked in the road, is randomly beeping and hazards are randomly flashing. It's like a mislock symptom. It's been raining heavy here today, I've just bought the car, I'm guessing the plenum is swimming but if there's something more definitive, please advise.

Best bet at this time of night is to disconnect the battery, shut the bonnet and lock the passenger doors internally then lock the drivers door with the key.

In the daylight tomorrow and hopefully a drier day connect the batt and see what happens with the car, worst case I would think is water bridging a connection.

Yep, done that. Wife is a carer, who doesn't drive, and next few days is a full programme. A neighbour is lending me his car for the day.

Well, I haven't a clue. Re-connected the battery this morning, checked plenum and it's fine. I have no issues at all, locks, unlocks, alarm working normal, no beeps.

My TF started doing that, and I spent weeks doing all sorts of tests etc - eventually fixed by replacing the battery - which, although a little sluggish, was still capable of starting the car!

LION battery, replaced under warranty - a year later, same thign started happening again, replaced under warranty again.

Week or two ago, here we go again - as soon as the really cold weather starts. Exide battery fitted this time!

Just might be something like that with yours, who knows... guess the alarm detects a drop in voltage or something.

Battery is virtually new. I've disconnected the alarm horn. Had a recurrence this morning, ignition on or driving it's fine, position one on the key or off, I get the hazards flashing randomly and doors lock and unlock. I've heard a clicking near the passenger side fuse box so now I'm thinking a sticking relay. I still have my write off so parts are a plenty. Just took the wife around to her first batch of service users...........and got a puncture!

Funnily enough I had exactly the same problem on Christmas eve. Random beeping, random hazards flashing and doors trying to lock. After a few hours of trying to sort it out I got fed up and decided to let it get on with it. When I got up on Christmas morning it was fine and has been since (touch wood.)

It started when I was washing it on Christmas eve morning and the doors randomly locked on their own, so again more than likely water ingress.
