Thanks to almost everybody for support. The story is not over, club members are still looking for a solution as is the mod /admin team. As Christopher posted, in the fullness of time a solution hopefully will be found.

Sorry missed your post earlier Garry.
Manufactured by a third party company the name of which has not been forthcoming from last years dealings with Xpart when this issue was first mooted.
Perhaps now we have access to the top bods in the company we may be able to get further.

Crofts, GG and Kandy have put their time and expenses into this project, its a shame it has not worked out for two reasons, one the members do not now have the finishers but mostly its a shame as these guys are now gutted it did not happen. Thanks guys from all of us as it would have been a dream

I missed this post when it first went up otherwise I would have replied earlier. Come on members credit where credit is due. Especially Crofts and GG who went the extra mile for the members

Ken
Wot

Its this sort of effort by members who put so much into a project for the benefit of all that makes this club stand out. Well done. I am sure that a lot has been learned in the process and knowledge is never wasted.

Just had a look at the label on the box that my set came in. Kept it cos I thought it might become Rare on e bay eventually :lol:

It says made in UK so that should narrow the search a bit:lol:

There is a Rover Logo'd sticker on the box with the following :

1 X VUB 104150

Made in UK

8a9 C8168

Havent a clue what the last one means. Manufacturer Code ??

Lets hope so i would have thought it easier to go back to the people who made them in the first place. Someone who worked at Rover in the parts dept surly should know where they came from??

I did read the post. Final sample means "given up" in my book.
