Washed, waxed and rain-X'd mine this weekend. Been starting to notice the amount of road dirt increasing as the weather turns damper, so time to get a coat of wax etc on to stop it sticking over winter.

Gloucester...around 4hrs drive there and 4hrs back again....I could tie it in with a trip to North Wales to book in with Jules to get my A/C sorted ..wow doing engine changes , I used to get job satisfaction working on mine but these engines are too small and fiddly for me so I have lost my patience and motivation for heavy spanner work at the moment and am trying to sort the cosmetics out for a change of pace. I wouldn't need the reversing sensors as I already have a set ready to fit when I eventually get a replacement bumper, thanks for your offer and I will send you a PM in a couple of weeks when I get back on dry land again.

DONE: HAD A CRAZY IDEA THAT I HAD TO GET RID OF MY MG ZTT DUE TO NOT HAVING A DRIVE AND HAVING TO PARK ON A BUSY STREET WITH A VIEW TO GETTING ANOTHER ONE AT A LATER DATE WHEN I HAVE A DRIVE.

ENDED UP REALISING IT REALLY ISN'T PRACTICAL NOT HAVING A CAR TO GET AROUND AND I NOW OWN A VW EOS 3.2 V6 INDIVIDUAL (1 OF 20 REMAINING IN THE UK WITH THAT ENGINE AND TRIM COMBO) EVEN THOUGH I STILL LIVE ON A BUSY ROAD WITHOUT A DRIVE

Default Mot time

New mot, broken spring repaired, no advisories. Headlamp restoration kit purchased and used on headlights and indicator lenses, they now look like new again, polished interior with Astonish leather cleaner. Washed, vacuumed and a quick polish. What a positive day. Just to round it of spotted baby fish in my pond and its only been set up since March.

Came home this evening to see that some kindly soul (read complete wassock of a schoolchild) had thrown the contents of a bottle of tippex over the rear quarter, back window, bumper, boot lid and roof of Mrs MB's classicasseur SE

So some careful cleaning followed by a complete wash of the car, compounding of the affected areas all seems to be OK, well as OK as I could make out in the dwindling daylight

The wonders of manned park and ride car parking

Finally got the MOT on my 75, it failed on the front near side lower arm (too much play), handbrake imbalance & emissions. I had the jobs done at my local garage as I couldn't make the time to do the jobs. He said he put a bottle of petrol treatment in the tank & gave it a hard run (Italian tune up ) just before going in for the retest, it passed the emissions OK

The birds have been using my 75 as target practice & the car was covered in elderberry poop I've had it parked under some mature silver birch trees opposite us as we've been having some house improvement work & the scuttle panel is inches deep in silver birch seeds & fallen leaves so I've given it a good clean inside & out & cleaned the plenum why I'm at it
