With help from neighbour fitted new lock to rear door, then visited member Seanalf, for advice about dimming mirror fitting. Very impressed with his cream leather interior, real walnut dash and demo of the 160 remap. More things on the wish list.

Today I fitted my outside temp sensor to the V6 and have started to try and dry the 1.8 YET AGAIN. In an effort to stop the ingress, I have also sealed along the bottom of the screen and the scuttle retaining clips. She has no sunroof, so if it isn't these or the plenums, it must be the windscreen itself, or I am baffled! Enjoyed getting a bit hands on (for me)

Quick clean after a weeks' holiday in Cornwall. 1,034 miles at 51.4mpg on brim to brim measure, in the 75 Tourer Diesel Auto, and didn't miss a beat. (Tempting fate I know!)

What shall I replace her with when the time comes? Hope that with 102,000 on the clock she has a lot more life left!

Ripped out wiring loom from front pillar , replaced with one with all the pins populated and fitted illuminated sun visors, rain sense ecu and prism, auto dim rear mirror. And broke windscreen putting on the cover. doh!

Oh well now have to fit a proper rain sending windscreen!

Painted the various rusty fixings around the slam panel matt black. Looks really nice now with stainless bumper bolts as well.

Had a quick polish of the air con pipes.

Started touching up some of the many many chips on the bumpers; going to need some flatting back tomorrow and then hopefully a good polish will hide most of it....

Did he also have a look at your straw hat?
