Default Contour wheels

Hi Ken..
Don't sell these wheels short,, they are actually 15" Comet alloys as fitted to Connoisseur and Connoisseur SE.
The 15" Contour was fitted only to the Club..
Hope you don't mind me pointing this out Ken but someone might want the correct wheels for the correct model..
All the best

If anyone is interested in these please let me know before Sunday evening otherwise they are all being sold off separately. All I want is a fair price for them but they must be collected.

Cheers

Hi Simon

I have replaced with Crowns Simon. I know I am the only person who likes them but I have always preferred crowns to anything else. I like a wheel to look like a wheel and not to have all the gaps between the spokes showing. Perhaps its my age I don't know, I was driving when hubcaps were normal and then wheel trims came out to make the wheel look better and I just prefer that look. I am chuffed to bits that at last my car looks like it should in my minds eye. I bought them off Raistlin when he got his new ones and they took about 10 hours work to get them to look almost new but well worth it. Since this piccy was taken it now has chrome caps fitted as well

They look pretty darned good to me Ken - nice and balanced. I've never actually seen a 75 with them in the flesh so I'm not familiar with them. Painstaking to wash I'd imagine.

I remember the days of hubcaps (when cars were cars and men were men!). I learnt to drive on a Triumph Herald and spent many happy(?) hours sitting on the front wheels working in the engine bay.

When I was little, my dad had black Humber Hawks (reg. nos 587 UPD and HUD 454D) which we all went on holiday to Ireland in several times. That was in the days when they used to crane cars onto ships with two heavy net slings.

Every time they lifted one of dad's cars up, the slings would pull all the hub caps off and they'd clatter to the ground from 20 feet or more. What a hoot (from a child's point of view, but not from the driver's).

Good to hear from you Ken.

My Conoisseur has the Crowns too and I have to say I like them as well...
