Ignore the fact it's on an 04 plate a lot of cars sat around prior to registration......and unfortunately the registration can't be used for the paint code.

Well ive bought it because it had offers pending. If it turns out not to be starlight I will just re-sell it, im sure someone on here might like it once de-badged. If it does fit someone might want my original, which has the lip spoiler.

Looking at his listing for the rear bumper, it does look a bit more starlight then zircon, but not the best quality photo's

Yeah im more sure its starlight. Zircon is a little colder and starlight is more naturally metallic and flat. The boot and bumper look flatter. The camera used (an iPhone i think) has a blue tint to the centre, but it still looks like starlight. According to MR-Rover.org zircon stopped at 2002, so i doubt many were left by 2004.
Now i wait to see if it is scratch free as he promised by email! Last edited by rovexCDTi; 21st February 2011 at 21:26.. |

Update.. It is Starlight silver! Fitted it today. Its not perfect and there is the odd mark and one slight crease in the metal, but its minor.
The lock did need changing. The later one appears to have its own receiver unit and aerial for picking up the key fob signal. It was an easy enough job, the hardest part was aligning it properly. |
