Reverse sensor

My reverse sensors seem to work when they feel like but I`ve noticed if I retry reverse a couple of times I eventualy get the beep and they work fine, does this sound like a faulty reverse sensor.

YES in short ..but could be a number of things ....by all accounts if they tick when rev gear is selected then they are working (put ear next to sensor)......not 100% though reading another thread

sometimes the joint that joins them all together gets loose and snap see under tape in pic...also the wire droops and gets a bit melted on exhaust causing intermittent beeps/long beep...which was my sensor problem.....

a little wd40 on the switch may help if sticking...

Check your reversing lights when you select reverse (Ignition on but engine off !!!), sounds like the switch may be playing up.
