Good for you

A particular delight of mine was when someone coming up in lane 2 of a dual carriageway to overtake me in lane 1 slows and hovers half a car length behind for 1/4mile to ogle. One guy even winked as he passed. Celia, from the passenger seat: "Cheeky NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-. How dare he wink at me". I kept schtum, not wanting, or daring, to disappoint her.

I apologise for the clumsy appearance of the filter feeder aberration. For the purposes of preservation of reputation I consider the corrective insertion of 33 characters for the substitution of 3 that refer to a 1 foot square of grass as overkill. Any chance of a complete list of prohibited synonyms?

We couldn't abandon him Julien as he was elderly and they were only words. As we dropped him off, he said the comfortable ride had warmed him to the car

I did hear that Andy is not well. We send him our love for a speedy recovery.

My stepdaughter asked if all the Rover badges/step plates were so old people could remember what they were driving.

When she got in the passenger seat though she looked around & said "lt is nice in here".

Was filling up my 18 year old launch car last week. The person on the till asked if it was a new car and said they loved the colour. Told them it was a special order. Went home and told my wife. She said I didn't need any more encouragement.

A few weeks before that as I returned to the car which was parked in a street of gleaming new German automotive products, you know, the usual suspects three young boys walked past the Rover. They were about 10. One said to the other two pointing at the Rover, "That's a really cool car." Hopefully a future 75 owner when he grows up.

I parked my Rover outside my wife's shop last week. No other cars were around. Moments later, I looked out of the shop window, and a bright red 1974 Jag E Type Roadster pulled up behind the Rover, driven by her colleague's elderly boyfriend. I did not need much encouragement from my wife to introduce myself to him, and it turned out that this was a 5.3 litre V12 model in immaculate condition. Its hood was down, and it was a truly gorgeous beast.

After a few minutes small talk and my slobbering over his car, he suddenly asked who owned the beautiful Rover parked in front. "Oh, she's mine", I proudly replied. We then spent the next ten minutes eulogising about her, joined by several admiring passers by, who seemed to be much more interested in my Rover than his Jaguar! The ultimate compliment, it really made my day!

Yes, it's a 'posh car,' it has leather seats, a DD stereo, rear blind, cruise control, foglights, real walnut dash, auto dim mirror, illuminated visors, very nice paintwork, chrome grille. It looks expensive.

It's worth around 800 quid!
Never, you don't want to wear out any more seats than possible carrying unnecessary passengers

Former boss drove a new Audi, latest boss has a BMW M3. Both have commented on how lovely and how comfortable my 75 is.
