with so many people not going to the shops I don't seem to be seeing on line sales (discounts) which I'm a bit surprised about

I'm glad there are not,my wife is always buying something "That's a Bargain." even if we don't need it.

Rather than seeing sales, I think the opposite is true.
Due to panic buying by the morons, many goods are under short supply and would not be discounted.
In fact, many items in short supply are being sold, on line, at
a special price greater than RRP.

I suppose it depends what you want to buy.
