ABS problems
Hi Everyone, my Rover 75 Diesel Club has developed, only sometimes, a minor shudder on the Brake Pedal when Braking lightly and on slow pedal lift off (feels like the ABS system is operating) but on hard Braking no problem. Previously I had the ABS light on the Dashboard come on and stay on which was cured by me spraying Contact Cleaner on the Airbag plug and socket under the front seats. I had the front springs changed just before this shudder appeared. Could it be the ABS Sensor has picked up some dirt or rust causing a false signal to the ABS System?
Many thanks, Ken |

Airbag plug has absolutely nothing to do with the ABS. Yes I would guess that the strut removal could well have dislodged some metallic dirt, near the sensor, but check the cable(s) have been properly routed too. Often mechanics get the routing wrong and the cables are damaged by the rotation of the wheel.
