BBC HD is available, and some ITV 1 programmes are broadcast in HD too, like some of the star wars films recently. I'm hooked, and love the stunning picture although Lark Rise is not one on my list to watch (sorry). |

HD is great, i have had Sky HD for the last 2 years and love watching the wildlife programs

That was a surprise to me. However, looking at the info it seems it will only be available when the analogue service is switched off. So yes it 2009 it will start to become available in some areas, but many will have to wait. For example the whole of the midlands is on Sutton Colfield, which maintains analogue until 2011 so no Freeview HD until after then. I'm not trying to sell anyone freesat, but it does mean you can get HD now for free. And bear in mind, you'll need a new freeview box to get freeview HD anyway. |
