Just Bought My First DSLR

Just ordered the following from Tesco:

With the Canon cashback deal, it comes in at just over £250. I've been driving myself nuts trying to get a DSLR and eventually narrowed it down to a Canon 1000 or a Nikon D40, but the deal above and good reviews on the Canon kind of made my mind up.

I've always been a point n shoot merchant, so will be asking many questions in the next few months

the offical canon outlet shop on ebay, would have got more camera for your money, nice camera non the less as first starting off

You won't be dissapointed with the Cannon, equally the D40 would have been a good buy. Personally I am a Nikon fan, but there is not much between the makes now. Have fun with it.
