I feel it must be nearly time to pour a beer

Now that looks proper tasty Jeff. I've burnt me tongue eating hot soup

Hi Phil, Are you are back in The Cape? Has the fire on the pass affected your house at all?

Craig.

Wednesday evening, I am meeting the surgeon in Bristol to confirm the results of the scan I recently had. He was a radiologist before he became a surgeon and he will be able to tell me about the CT scan I had in Nairobi. The CT found a growth in the right lung. The doctors in Nairobi said it is nothing to worry about, they could not see Cancer. That was reassuring, but I will ask the surgeon in Bristol to confirm their findings. On Sunday I am due to fly back to Africa

Frosty here this morning but dry enough & doesn’t look windy judging by the lack of swaying trees, in any case I would be able to hear the extractor vents clashing

Cool

Morning everyone.

We had a lovely sunrise but clouding over now.

Been busy this morning, changed the sheets on the bed plus the quilt cover. Turned the mattress and vacuumed both sides. Clean sheets, pillowcases and quilt cover on.
Then put the washing on. Got the bins ready for the dustmen. All done before my first cup of tea.

Well impressed with my new electric radio, surprised it has no valves though. No waiting for it to warm up. Amazed that it has over 100 radio stations.

Yikes - I thought I'd woken up to a world populated by zombies with electrocuted hair

Started sunny this morning, but clouding over now and still too cold for my old bones/muscles/blubber.

A new rhyme from my 8 year old grandaughter on Sunday, on the subject of flushing the loo whilst saving water:-
If it's yellow - let it mellow
If it's brown - flush it down
