USB adaptor for TV?
Hello,
Our TV does not have a USB port. I am trying to achieve putting video on a USB stick, then plugging the USB stick into the TV in order to watch them. Of course, as stated, the TV does not have a USB port. Is there some kind of TV/USB adaptor that can help me achieve this? Failing that, is there some kind of lead I could use to plug into my laptop (where I could have the video stored on the harddrive), plugging one end of the lead into the laptop, and the other into the TV, and thus watch the video/s? I can, of course, burn the video/s to DVDs and play them through a DVD player, but I'm trying to circumvent that. Thanks in advance, David |

Does your TV have a monitor input (little blue socket with 15 holes over 3 lines) in it. If so, then get a lead from laptop's external monitor port to TV and bob's your mothers brother so they say.

I have a wdtv attached to our tv. I then have 2 500gb hard drives plugged into the USB ports on the wdtv. Excellent piece of kit

if you do it this way you also need a sound cable form the lap top to your tv so it will come out of the tv speakers, if you use HDMi if your lap top as it you dont need a sound lead

The cable I ordered was delivered this morning, so I plugged one end into the TV and the other into the laptop - but no display on the TV and no picture; any ideas on what might be wrong please? |
