So if there is a small Tax charge to be paid how do you go about this?

IF and I think its a big if we have to pay then I think / guessing / going on anecdotal evidence that the courier will collect on behalf of the government and then charge you for the privilege.

Itllmstill be a cheap unit though!

Edit. Here you go. Straight from the horse mouth so to speak https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/overview

Parcels delivered via Royal Mail, your postman will leave you a card stating you have been sent a parcel from overseas. You can take this card to your local delivery depot and pay the charge and pickup your parcel, or you can pay the charge online and arrange for the parcel to be delivered to your home, or place or work.

Parcel delivered by courier, depending on the courier, some you can pay the delivery driver at the door, others... you will receive a phone call and will have the option to pay over the phone, or online.

I've only ever been charged once when receiving goods from China, and that was DHL. I've never been charge when receiving goods from Royal Mail, so it will be interesting to see how these parcels arrive, if they arrive that is...

A lot of items get through without any hold up by customs, you may be lucky.

Just got confirmation that my package has shipped but no tracking number.

Possibly because its going to Spain? but I can't really see what difference that will make?

So I'll just sit back and wait and see.

Edit: Good news - just had another email saying that this would be express expedited ( from Hong Kong via UPS with a tracking reference ( which works )) and will be with me no later than the 31st of October.

I ordered mine at around 8.10am a few days ago and they were 7 in stock, so assume the price probably drops at 8.00am which would be 12.00 in the far east
