I like to store mine in folders as artist, album then songs The player supplied only shows the album, then songs. I've looked for a player that will display artist/ album but haven't found one. But then I'm a complete luddite! |

Guys, this is either really easy for some, or a complete headache. Its all to do with the MP3 ID tag file, as MP3's are digital files . Your Windows Media Player on your PC can do this with ease, but many phones, tablets and car stereo's struggle due to image size and reading formats. You can either download the MP3Tag program HERE... and manually edit your MP3 files on your PC, and transfer them to your SD card. or... Download the Album Cover Finder app from the PlayStore HERE... and go through the prompts and add albums covers to each of your MP3 file/tracks/songs, this can take some time. The whole process can all be done on the double din (Wifi connection needed). Both programs search the Amazon database for all artwork, it great fun at first, but can get very tedious at times. I'm sure there is an easier way using the Windows Media Player, but haven't found it yet . Last edited by Dallas; 1st December 2016 at 20:51.. |

So Wes, the list on the left will that go back to an Artist list? As I said on my list it only goes back to album name. |

So this means you need to create one folder with the Artist name, then a subfolder with the Album name which contain the song listings. The RunGrace unit will only read the Album Name, and the track listings, therefore you need to manually edit the album name and enter the artist name infront of the album title, thats if you want the Artists name to appear on the list on the left. I hope that makes sense... The two links to the MP3Tag programs, these are designed to further allow you to edit/changed MP3 digital files. I hope that helps. |

I understand you need an internet connection to use the service, but you can arrange a playlist to download to the app to play offline, is that what you do? |

Correct. You have available any album / artist + loads of playlist. You can create your own playlist and store playlists and albums to play offline. Only trouble with it as far as I can see at the moment is that you cannot store on the SD card but they might be a way round that, someone on here will know, so your are limited a bit, but not a lot. I think there is a free version that has ads on but at least you can try it. Trust me you'll never bother again with CD's etc.

So would I still have to use this MP3 tag program if all my files are flac and I have the folder art stored in the artists individual folder.
Say I have an artist then I create a folder with that artists name and in the folder I create folders for any albums from that artist and in these folders I have the album art named folder. Now the built in media player plays and shows everything fine except for the art, but I can view these through another app and they show fine, so can I ask what your art is named like before I try to convert them ? Thanks Btw do I need to create a music folder if starting again from scratch ?

I can recommend Spotify, I pay 9.99 a month, but all family use it on many devices and it allows you to listen to about 3000 tracks offline on each device. Like Blackrose says the only issue is it takes up space, if it can be stored on SD it would be ideal.
