Default Rover TQ1

Hi all,

Just been doing a bit of browsing.

As above, what is, or what was a Rover TQ1?

Googled it and it throws up Discoveries, etc, but the Rover emblem in what I have seen is evident, not the Land Rover one.

Just curious, and a merry Christmas to all!!

Regards,

Dave.

What's the context are you sure its TQ1?
TQI was Total Quality Initiative , which was pan Rover Group ( Rover Cars and Land Rover) initiative to improve quality across the board . There was a small pin badge presented when you had completed the course. with the Rover Group Logo and TQI on it.
Circa 1993, found my original Certificate as a facilitator. Course was at Canley, before it all was knocked down to make way for retail/industrial complex.

Thanks,

That was the answer I was looking for, and yes, it was pin badge that I came across.

Should have put an I instead of a 1, a Speckled Hen over the top of the norm must have blurred my vision a bit!!!

Dave.

I did a YTS at Canley and went on the course in 1989. Still got the tie pin! I thought it was total quality improvement but might be wrong.
The ethos was “First time right not right first time” or the other way round lol!
