Thanks for all the helpful advice re fitting the uprated fan kit. It took a battery lead off reset to sort a constantly fast fan, so maybe I should have done the usual safety first by disconnecting the battery before I started work! I usually do but this hot weather and a bit of old man syndrome had me scratching my head (and Jules ear). All's well that ends well and my car's front end is well cleaned, blathered in ACF50 and cavity wax, along with well lubricated fixings should I or anyone else need to get in there again. Air con is now much cooler than I was!
Cheers again, time for a cuppa and some paracetomols!
