In answer to JDC wondering where all the new members have come from today.
Our usual intake of new members on any one day is up 11 there have been very few days when the intake has been less than 5.
This phenomenon usually goes unnoticed a it's only us mods and admins that check regularly who is coming on board.
The new automated response to a new sign up lets everybody that is interested know who is signing up and gives an opportunity for people to get acquainted immediately.
The hope is that we appear even more friendly and inviting than ever before. It seems to be working well, as shown by all the responses.
Please don't feel duty bound to say hello, we don't want to ovewhelm our new members.
OK back to having fun.

Good Idea MM, when I joined, from the Dark Side, what now seems like years ago but wasn't, No one seemed to notice you until after a few Posts, and I never got that welcome you get now. (Actually i don't think anyone noticed Me Join. Tears running down face, the club does now just seem like an extension to my Bungalow) !
Is the Birthdays automated I do watch the Calender?

Only because of the overwhelming number of replies, as I said in my earlier post. Perhaps once we are a little more used to them we will wait until the person they are aimed at replies in response, before all piling in. As with any new toy we all want to play with it, the novelty will wear off, I'm sure.
