Default Is this a thermostat housing?

Hi everyone. My car went in for a coolant leak, which was going the be under the inlet manifold, from what looks to be a plastic pipe (or at least a seal to a plastic pipe)
Suspect this is the thermostat housing, so want to order what I need for when they strip it down.
The pick he gave me looks like the attached.

He said it went to a kind of “Y” piece. Can anyone confirm this is indeed the thermostat housing, so I can get one in in case it breaks on removal?

Also if anyone else has had this issue, and knows what’s likely to break, advice would be appreciated.

Of course if anyone has the offending item, I’d be looking to buy one.

Thanks

Eddie

The thermostat housing on the diesel is next to the water pump at the right hand end of the engine (looking forward). To get it out, as per advices on posts on this our site, it takes a bit of jacking and lowering of the engine to get at the blts. Oh that it were in front of the inlet manifold. Not sure what the sketch is of.

Hi Eddie.
It's not the thermostat housing but the head coolant unit under the manifold, they can leak or disintegrate over time.

That’s the fella arctic. Turns out that wasn’t the issue after all, replaced anyway with a rimmers part. It’s the pipe that goes from the fuel burner heater to the housing. Does an o’ring or other seal come separately to these, or is it a replacement pipe?

If anyone out there has one I’m looking to buy one. Did a bush fix with a bit of sealing tape which stopped the leak, but figured I’ll need one at some point.
