been up on the roof this morning and what a massive relief, no where near as bad as I thought it was going to be. Will refit the torn felt using battens and an underneath where required damp proof sheeting.

Clearing up in the garden - it´s p´ing down

I´m afraid your information is out of date. BJ is quoted this morning as saying ¨we must be unflinchingly honest´. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-60432970 So, the current honest view is...... f*** the north and levelling up, let´ś level everywhere else down to so we can claim to have achieved weather equality. No political responses please. This is about the weather inflicted plight of our fellow citizens up north, and now also down south, west, east,.......etc. I´ve been clearing up in the garden and it´s a pouring down

MMM February 2022, I mention storm Franklin, something like October 2023 to February... again, 2024, there have been some 4 or more storms.
Weather forecast for the next week or 2, rain most days. We are surrounded by farm land and farmers have lost so much of their crops this winter. Fields are still to wet for them to work. Seeing flooding on TV or with my own eyes, it is staggering how far water can spread. I thought the water level in canals remained quite constant but the narrow boats on the one a few miles from us, looked as if they were about to float over the banks it was so high. macafee2 |
