Every single bolt and screw that I remove goes back with a smear of copper grease, just makes so much sence to me.
Why stress out an ali thread with a steel bolt!!!! For example: Right hand upper engine mount bolts are 100Nm, Thats a lot of torque on the poor old Aluminium mount and friction at this level is sure to stress the threads. Copper grease will aleiveate the friction and make you feel good!!!! BTW my 10 year old plugs were a bitch to remove cos the factory fitted them dry!!!

I found I had a small increase in MPG after changing my plugs.
It was hard to tell if this was directly related to the plugs as the week after I changed the oil but this was clean and the plugs were not.

In can concur with Simon as my trip to Gaydon with new plugs in was giving an average of 34.5 mpg as oposed to the usual 31 tops. I have a very light right foot and use cruise 60% of the time.
At least simons plugs were ----290's My original plugs were Unipart!!

Where did you find 7 bolts holding the coil packs in ? Just make sure you dont disturb ( or forget to reconnect ) the earth lead on the rocker cover.
