Morning Robert,
The tank is 3/4 full and the journey home initially involved driving through Consett which generally flat and on the top of a hill and then dropping down into Shotley Bridge which is where I live. I first noticed the problem when I pulled out of the supermarket access road into the main road and the car would not pull away. Thanks for your thoughts though.

Morning,
The car was serviced by Jules in February 2018 and I assume that the fuel filter was replaced as part of the service. The car hasn't really done a lot of mileage since then however the problem reoccurs and it is not the MAF I'll try replacing the fuel filter. Thanks for your thoughts.

I went for a drive this morning and I have checked the brakes and they aren't binding. Thanks for your thoughts.

Thanks for your thoughts Steve.
If/when? it happens again I'll try disconnecting the MAF.
