Hi Reebs, So why is the 75 not exempt - surely the same emissions as the 2002 MG?

All very inconsistent. My 2.0 V6 '75 comes back as compliant .

Exactly what I thought.

It must be just what is recorded on the V5 for the 2.5 V6 engines in the 75

Cliff's 2.0 V6 is fine though

CC = 2497cc
CO2 = 249g/km
Type Approval number = e11*98/14*0111*08
Exhaust Emissions
CO = 0.577
HC = 0.130
NO = 0.085
HC+NO = 0.215




MG ZTT 190 2.5 V6 Manual
CC = 2497cc
CO2 = 235g/km
Type Approval number = E11*98/14*0111*06
Exhaust Emissions
CO = 0.095
HC = 0.001
NO = 0.065
HC+NO = 0.066



MG ZT 180 2.5 V6 Auto
CC = 2497cc
CO2 = 259g/km
Type Approval number = e11*98/14*0111*12
Exhaust Emissions
CO = 0.846
HC = 0.101
NO = 0.045
HC+NO = 0.146



MG ZT 260 4.6 V8 Manual
CC = 4600cc
CO2 = 314g/km
Type Approval number = LC366/A/069
Exhaust Emissions

I've been reading about the 'data gaps' in motorcheck and they're teaming up with 'air index' for a solution to the problem.

Many thanks for the info - looks like I'm going to have to be careful sourcing a 75 then. I have popped the reg no. in the checker for many I've seen for sale and they seem to be chargeable in the zones.

There is a new Euro Cat 6 emission standard out (d) I think in 6 months time on the 1st January 2021.



There are over 600k new vehicles in the UK & across the EU that haven't been sold due to the downturn in new car sales.

None of these vehicles will get type approval in time for the new Euro Cat 6 (d) version in time before 1/1/21
