Ok I’ll pop out shortly while it’s quiet and have another listen.

When i had this it was the connector that gathers the individual sensor looms together behind the bumper and connects on to the parking ECU - this plug/connector can get damp and corrode as was the case with mine. Since cleaned up all has been fine.

Certainly worth checking. I removed the bumper so I could check and clean the multi-plug.

I’ve just solved this issue with the help of Jules.
I had the same symptoms, however all four sensors were clicking; no clues there then. I swapped for another loom, however that made no difference. T4 was used to check what was going on, turned out that both the PDC ECU and one of the sensors were faulty. Both replaced, ECU coded to the car and functionality was restored. |

Hi - so when you say coded the ECU to the car - do you know exactly what that does?

Not sure exactly, Jules coded it in via T4. It would seem that the car cannot automatically read a new ECU when it's plugged in, it has to be coded first.

A replacement ECU will work when fitted without T4.
