G'day all - looks like Summer's last fling out there - nice bright sunny day - but forecast to turn quite a few degrees colder by the end of the week.
Time to organise next Saturday's shopping delivery, so I'm off into the garage to see what's in the freezer.

Change of plan, seeing as the weather is glorious I decided to stay at home and set about cleaning up all the potted plants. And turning over some of the earth in the back garden. It’s currently 24.5degrees and bloomin’warm.

Afternoon all, It's a beautiful warm sunny day here, not too hot. I've been digging out a level base for this greenhouse as the ground slopes up where it's going, I'm putting in some foundation bricks for the frame to sit on but I only have a 12" spirit level & it's hard to get a true reading along 8 foot. I see shims being used.
It's the big shop day & my Missus is getting me a fresh supply of cider I cut my hands in several places with dealing with that greenhouse glass, five broken panes & the cuts have swelled up & are oozing I think I need to ring the doctors for summert!

Ian, last night I watched Zulu made in 1964 with Michael Caine and Stanley Baker on YouTube, an enjoyable movie restored to HD quality. I have attached the link (Full Movie) https://youtu.be/62v94vnh8wo in case you or anyone would like to watch an old film for a change

Thanks Ian, it could have been worse as I cut the foot on coral rock which is full of living organisms. I can't do anything about the ripped off toe nail and Jessica changed the dressing to the wound on the ball of the foot. We have an excellent first aid kit which includes sutures etc. So far, the toe has not gone black and no pus has exuded from the wounds.
Jessica went off on her own today swimming and I stayed in resting up It is a nice evening here with the sounds of the fishing boats going out for the night. |
