Default Pierburg maf to Bosch?

Mine’s got a Pierburg and a Ron Box. Preparing to delete the box and get a remap - without looking at the wiring would it be simple to put a new (genuine/DMGRS) Bosch on, and delete the Synergy 2, in readiness?

Thank you!
This leads to the next question - are the Pierburg and Ron Box worth anything? New Bosch Maf is £169 at DMGRS.

Do you think that’s a genuine one? Looks like it but description a bit ambiguous. I’ve read a lot about poor Bosch MAFs and fake repro ones, and I’m curious as to why the Ron Box is so heavy on dealing with a weak MAF when surely you’d just swap out a duff one? Mines only a 116 engine but as it is now it feels nothing like my last 135 before or after the remap I’d done on that car (75 Auto).

Hi Mick.
I had a quick read through the original link i put up, his feed back was terrible but i could not find anything regarding the MAF sensor so to be on the safe side i have removed the link, i have replaced it with another one.

Feed back 98% better and they state they are Bosch authorised dealer, therefore i would imagine the MAF is genuine, if not complain to Bosch and to pay pal i am sure both would be interested.

Thanks for this, a good price. I’ve asked Jamie if I need one as I intend to get him to de clutter the car and map it in the near future. This car is a keeper so whilst I can I’m getting it future proofed, to save money in the long run. Having four new Good Years fitted on Monday so that’s a few quid! Luckily only £365 from Costco so not much more than ditchfinders....

I use AutoDoc for all the bits for my BMW, link to a Bosch MAF below. They are very reasonable on price, but postage can take a couple weeks as things come from Germany.
