top engine mount
not been on for a while but can i ask if the rover 75 diesel top engine mount is filled with a type of oil? and is it a hard job to do as i have a small amount of oil resting on the top any suggestions would be appreciated rgds mark

Some may try and sell you the mount for the 2.0 petrol saying its the same as the diesel its not.( KKB101914 ) Some may also try selling you the 1.8 petrol ( KKB101903 ) The job i would say is not difficult from 1 to 10 the later being hard i would put it at 6 if its the first time of tackling the removal and fitting. A few parts to remove, jacking up of the engine required, also the lower engine mount to be released from its bracket so the engine can be maneuvered a little to get the main plate back into position. I would say allow your self about 3 hours first time round, a special tool is also required to undo the mount, if you do not have this then a cold chisel will be needed not the way i would do it but others have used a chisel. https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...84&postcount=1 Don't do what i did and do other jobs at the same time or you will be there for quite a while 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Now you can get to the Hydra mount. 11 Tool used for removing & fitting. 12 13
