For those who are interested in the technology, I will open an extra thread again in the next few days and describe the vehicle in more detail.
Hello and welcome.

How much for the conversion with a supplied donor car?

The parts for the conversion cost around 22 TE. Then there is the donor vehicle (that was my broken ROVER, so for free) and a lot of time in the garage ... It can also be cheaper, but then the result is not comfortable either. You have to be an enthusiast to do it

Having driven my son's Tesla I have to say that the lack of engine noise is more than made up by the blistering acceleration.

I was very impressed when I drove a BMW i3, however it weighs nothing. A Rover is an heavy beast.

The Tesla 3 is a lot heavier than a 75 - all that range adds weight.

I'd say, that's a lot of hard work, well done, very impressive.

I would imagine the first job on the list was to stop water getting into the boot, the usual Rover water leaks.

An all round excellent job - I'm looking forward to reading more on your seperate thread .

I reacall, must be nearly 10 years ago, somoene put a link here (or possibly .Org) to a video clip of a chap in Spain who had done something very similar. Can't find any trace now but he got everything working okay, though the finished job was no way comparable to the standard achieved in this instance. No mention of performance or range, either. Wish I could find the video again .
