Might be difficult for him unless he fancies our local canals .

Or maybe he's crept across to the Midlands on 4 wheels .

He's not here now as it's clearing up .

Andy.

G'day all.
I'd love to say it's a bright, sunny, warm morning here - but I can't. It's grey, damp, miserable and cold. If I remember correctly, we had snow in October last year

Afternoon all from a hot day at 34C. What I didn’t realise when I picked up the repaired laptop, the hard drive had been erased, losing 40,000 plus photos, various videos and documents. Have to say, I was quite p d off, I was not expecting the drive to be erased in order to change the screen. I suppose the upside is the laptop is working again. I have about 9,000 photos in the iCloud so all is not lost.

2 weeks now before we fly to South Africa. We have to book Covid tests and get a clearance certificate to be allowed onto the plane. It’s a 2 hour flight to Addis Ababa, change planes, then a 6 hour flight to Cape Town. We are expecting good weather November - December.

Afternoon Phil,

I hope the repair centre informed you that you would lose the contents of the hard drive before they proceeded?
Can't see why they could not have removed the drive and backed it up for you before carrying out the screen repair

I would be beyond livid if that happened to me.
I would strongly suggest getting an external back up drive to use from now on.
Then you will have the laptops drive, back up drive and cloud storage to keep your files safe.

Afternoon Phil, Blimey! 34C That sounds a bit toasty Discovered my garage is sopping wet inside after the amount of rain it's put down this week It's been a case of mopping up duties before everything goes moldy today, It stinks of damp in there so every chance I get I've got all the doors open.

A pair of ham shanks roasting in the oven and jacket spuds for tea tonight Pulled shanks instead of pulled pork style lol

I’ll happily swap weather with you Phil, my seasonal adjustment is working overtime at the moment.
