Hi Andrew.
Great reading as always super work carried out, i doubt any of my cars will ever be that clean in the engine bay or underneath, quick couple of questions for you though, hope you don't mind and i am not knocking your work either.

Spraying the alternator wont it start to burn the paint that as got into the copper coils?

Also the intercooler seems to have seen better days some of the fins seem missing.

I am only asking so you do not have to get the front back off if they are not going to work properly.

Keep up the good work and photo we all love photos

Excellent work, have you insulated the crank sensor wiring with heat resistant covering?

Regarding the alternator, I was hesitant to even paint it at first as I didn’t want to take it apart!

Then I spoke to one of my close friends who is responsible for award wining engine bays like this:

And he has painted them in the past and he’s never had issues!
Tho he has just reminded me that I need to check the paint isn’t insulating the earth connection from the alternator to the engine!

That is a work of art. I sense where some of your inspiration has come from.
Kudos to both of you.

Now that’s two neat engine bays.

Considering all of the extra work you've had to do, to post in only three weeks is good going, and again, great photos. I've been taught many lessons working on my own cars doing much less ambitious work than yourself. You're a genuine inspiration to me and I'm sure many others. The valeted car looks amazing. Well done and keep do please keep going and keep posting.

Persistence and perseverance in the face of adversity is a great character trait which you have in spades. Well done. You're getting closer to having a really well sorted car which will surely become a genuine classic.

Yep not much work to get a ticket.

I do hope you never bump into the WPC who stopped me at 2 in the morning - from what I see of the photos she'll do you for illegal number plates.

I just know you will fix the major defects and fix the advisories in the process. The car looks as new so a few hick-ups shouldn't hinder getting the car back on the road.

Kudos to you for this great adventure you have undertaken and letting us enjoy the story of your progress

(Sjonnie secretly hopes to read the sequel where the hero gets the dame )
