Hi David.
Give the ebay ones a wide birth go with one of the guys from the forum, Andy seems to be the choice if he can get new ECU for you.

This doesn't seem a bad price for a new virgin unit

Smile ECU Doctor Ltd

Hi,
Quite a few years back I used the ECU Doctor

I posted it to them and it came back four days later with two new chips and has never missed a beat since!
My Conny has now done 165,000 and had it 15 years, still love it.

I've still got a couple that they "repaired" one of which was sent back by a customer twice and it still didn't work.

Fitted a replacement ECU for him with no further issues

From what I remember, it was more expensive than the one I supplied too!

For the op's V6 it would be far cheaper to get a new one as listed above and get it coded to the car

Is the new one mentioned above suitable for all KV6 variants (being a virgin unit)?
