Morning all.

Clear, bright and chilly here. Looks like a decent forecast as far as the wet stuff goes - none .

Apologies for being missing in action on here - been doing a few bits and bobs on my new Conny SE tourer. .

And Rich, yes, PRC is Peoples Republic of China

Morning Andy N01, Bob and Ian

Morning Andy, a worrying time for your work mate, having the test in order to get married in Jamaica. Getting married is quite stressful

Lets keep our fingers crossed that he is going to have a negative result and the wedding will be the happiest day of his life

When I did freelance for HM Immigration in the UK, I had to escort illegal immigrants with a criminal history back to Jamaica. On the upside Jamaica really is a beautiful island for a wedding and a holiday.

Yellowtail do a nice red called Jammy Roo. Another nice red is from the Jam Shed. But if you want to really splash the cash then look for a red called Cienna bottled by Brown Brothers it’s around the £14 a bottle.

Shiraz is good but you need a good quality one. Merlot is very good, Yellowtail do a nice one. They also do Shiraz.

Morning folks - what a depressing, grey, damp and cold day
  • Grandson was sent home from school yesterday - one of the pupils in his bubble has tested positive for the virus, so Dominic has to isolate for 14 days
  • A 39 year old who I knew quite well through work (he was a funeral director in his father's business & I printed their Orders of Service) has passed away - thought to have taken his own life)
  • My local council area has been upgraded from Medium Risk to High Risk
  • I'm off for my flu jab this afternoon - hope I don't get the same, golfball sized lump in my arm as I usually do afterwards
Somebody cheer me up please

Gawd I wished I' stayed in bed & I'm in dire need of cheering up meself! True that breakdowns come in three's It was the boiler the other week, both our mobile phone batteries kaput last week & now we have a flooded kitchen!!!

I dug another trench across the garden this morning to lay new power cable to the garage after I put my spade through it t'other week whilst digging the base for this greenhouse Begger that's 4 things broken Anywho I noticed a squelch sound walking on the kitchen lino & when I looked under the kitchen sink cupboard water was pouring out of the stopc0ck Nobody has been near that in years. It wont stop pouring out even when it's turned off, Just waiting for the emergency plumber to arrive, It'll be an insurance jobby as the kitchen sink cabinets have swelled up at the back & the lino is floating

I like all 3, the red has a lovely flavour, probably the best of them all but it’s a bit thin don’t you think?

Begger! It goes from bad to worse! The emergency plumber has been out & cant find the water stop tap outside of our property or inside our property to turn the supply off Awaiting United Utilities to come out & see if they can find it, 80 quid call out fee & water still gushing out of the stopc0ck He's gone off to another job as he cant get to enough of the lead pipework to freeze the pipework to stop it. If United Utilities cant find it the concrete kitchen floor will have to be dug up I've been in this house over 35 years & I've never come across one.

I need a swilly.
