Thanks Rich, Andy, Rod, Bob, AndyNO1 & Colin, Good advice I'll see what the insurance assessor guy has to say tomorrow, The place is still wet & like a bomb site so I think a chippy tea tonight as I cant be bothered cooking besides I'm cream crackered & I think an early night tonight.

That'll be a bummer Rich if you have to self isolate with so much work on.

Well that was a pleasant experience NOT. A cotton wool swab stuck down both sides on your throat and for 15 seconds twisted all the way up the top of your nostril. Now have to wait a minimum 24 hour hours before we can venture past the end of the drive. Son has no symptoms now ,but had a fever this morning and a bit of vomiting,so hopefully we will be negative.

Sounds properly horrible .

Hope it's all going to come back as negative and you can get on with everything you need to do.

Take care.

Missus is upset they're ripping the kitchen units out & chasing the plaster off the walls as it's sodden

The water has got into the cavity under the living room & that will need pumping out. I've been round to the neighbours to tell them about the water needs turning off for a while, The trouble is the stopc0ck on the lead inlet pipe is only 2" above the concrete floor & they're having trouble digging it out, The decking outside might have to be torn up yet to get at the lead pipework under the back garden, Deep joy.
Why didn't they just hammer the pipe flat to cut off the water ??

Bit of electronic gear to trace the pipe in your garden to install a stopcock. Freeze the pipe. Cut and fit a stopcock.-. Gives you time to get better access to cut off flat pipe and make a new connection into your house.

Stopcock----Naughty word. Incredible. Got round it by making it ONE word. Lol.

Morning all,

Just catching up what's gone on here.

Glad you're getting the leak sorted Ian, that must have been a horrible experience !

Hope the tests come back negative for you Richard. Not something you need at this time I'm sure.

On a positive note.............It's not raining this morning

Day off today so I got up early, turned the heating up & went back to bed.
I’ll have to go shortly though, they’re coming to fit a new leccy meter over at Little Longbridge

Morning all.

Fingers crossed today is a good, productive and stress free one for everyone.

Cloudy but quite bright and dry. Forecast to be decent for a couple of days. I hope to make the most of it 'cus next week is not looking so nice.

Morning all, we had a good day yesterday too, took Deb into A&E due to breathing difficulties, temp of 41 when she arrived!

Hooked her up to a drip to get some fluids in then some I v drugs and a chest x ray.

Thankfully it’s a chest infection and nothing else, they kicked her out at 10pm yesterday with orders to rest for a week.
