Going slightly mad right now...
I've been running myself ragged over recent weeks to provide shopping to some vulnerable adults, my brother is one of them as he's got obesity issues and developed fatty liver disease. I got his shopping today and delivered it along with a cycle I've built for him to regain some fitness when he can go out, he's been locked in since March 16th and had no contact with the outside world at all. His wife phoned me earlier to say he's been throwing up and can't remember what day it is, his balance has also gone and he's falling over. The Ambulance has taken him to Wigan Hospital for tests but, the Covid 19 virus is running rampant in there, eleven people died of it on Sunday including my Auntie Anne. The thing is that no-one is allowed in with patients, no visitors including his wife as the risks are too great.
I'm hoping for quite a lot but with this virus out there who knows the outcome? I don't know what's gone wrong but I suspect a stroke has happened in his enforced lockdown, it's in the hands of a greater power right now and I can't do a thing, very frustrating for sure. |

Not easy coping at the best of times, but these times are even more trying. I hope everything works out ok.

Take a moment out for yourself....find a corner on your own and take a deep breath. He's in the best place and will receive the best possible care
Stay strong and staysafe

We have answers.
My brother has kidney failure on top of his liver failure, he's been getting treated to try to bring his kidney's back up but it's not working. I spoke with him today and I recorded the call, I don't have his voice on anything else and I'm losing him soon.

In bits right now.
My big hearted big brother is in his final hours right now, he's been there for me for all of my life. I couldn't have asked for more and yet I'm lying to him right now as are all of the family. He's not seen any of us for weeks and the hospital is allowing us to go into his room one at a time, when he asked why we'd all turned up we said it's because the lockdown has been eased. I've told the family no tears in that room or he'll figure it out, the doctors are on board because I know he's afraid of going, they've been great and he thinks he's coming home on Saturday, the chart on the wall has had the expected discharge put as the 16th. In just nine days it will be his birthday and wedding anniversary, his wife is fully aware of everything and knows he's leaving us soon, she's holding up well for his sake, his daughter lives in Spain and can't get back, that's a downside. I'm happy to deceive him right now and tell him he's on the mend, he's had these scares before you see but this is the last one, he's suffering daily and I want him to be free and at peace, I don't want him going terrified, he's my big brother and I love him.
