Smile Rover 75 ecu

Can anyone suggest how I can take out the ECU so I can get to the pollen filter and to clean out the plenium.

Just remove the plastic bits below your right hand wiper and slide the ECU upwards out of its cradle. There's enough give in the wiring not to have to disconnect it and get to the pollen filter.

See link below showing how to do this on you tube.

Basically loosen the scuttle panel passenger side held in place by a scrivet and clips - then prise out 3 of the windscreen panel clips (they run along the windscreen trim 7 in all ) - this will allow you to move the panel to one side to expose the ECU, pollen filter and the plenum chamber. The ECU connects to 2 loom plugs which need disconnecting if you want to take the ECU out of its cradle.

Hi Michael
It very similar to replacing the diesel pollen filter, except on the petrol engine V6/1.8 you do not need to remove the ECU as there is enough room to get the pollen filter out, the link below will give you a little guidance on how to proceed.
