Great start to the day. Friends of ours run a guest house down the south west. Elvie hasn't been well for a while, she passed away last night.

She had the "big C" a few years ago. Stupidly she didn't allow herself time to recover from the treatment, diving back into running the guesthouse and it returned. We had an inkling something wasn't right as they dropped out of contact a while ago. No idea what Nigel will do about the guest house, there are ten bedrooms, can't run it on his own.

Sad news Steve, certain cancers thrive on stress and running a guesthouse would not have helped. RIP

I was astounded when Nigel told me of their plans, take early retirement and buy a guest house . . . . not my idea of retirement.
