I must say Zeb, you're brave with an HD-DVD player considering Paramount, Disney, Universal, etc are all moving across to BR.

Not brave at all.....ALL my old DVDs will play on this and it upscales beautifully. Plenty of films available for now...and I got it in a sale for a not unreasonable amount....in fact if Blu ray wins the day I might just stick to standard dvds until it reaches the £50 price point

Anyway, I always was a non-conformist ....which is why I drive a tuned 75...

Universal and Paramount are not walking away from HD DVD just yet. Despite conflicting reports in the aftermath of Warner’s decision to back Blu-ray only, Paramount maintains it has no plans on ditching HD DVD anytime soon, and Universal’s Ken Graffeo says his studio is also holding firm.
In a statement he says: “Contrary to unsubstantiated rumors from unnamed sources, Universal’s current plan is to continue to support the HD DVD format.”
However it does seem that Universal’s exclusivity deal with HD DVD is now over.

Oh it will.

With dual layers holding 100Gb of data and HD-DVD just struggling to 20Gb. Its a no brainer in my eyes.

Ah but there is only so much garbage they can add to a film as 'bonus' material...
