Looks like I've fallen foul of the dreaded Hermes Delivery (or not!) Service. I ordered from Ebay a new power supply for my dashcam - cigarette plug at one end, USB at the the other and a few metres of cable.
  • Got an early email at 9.40am saying it would be delivered between 12.00 and 16.00;
  • then, a second email at 11.52 saying delivery would be between 11.00 and 15.00.
  • Then, at 12.46. got another email saying delivered at 12.42
  • Ebay emailed me at 13.49 to say that Hermes had "dropped off" the package at 19.40 (yes - that's right, twenty to eight tonight!) - it's a wonderful thing is time travel!

Needless to say, no sign of parcel, no knocks on door, no ringing of doorbell; I've been in and out of the garage all morning, so would have seen any deliveries; wife has been in the living room all day, which overlooks the drive. We've searched everywhere - including wheelie bins, under the caravan, neighbours - NOWT. Had a text chat to Hermes - the main feedback from them seemed to be "driver says he's dropped it off at your address - so that's it".

Afternoon all.

Dry but cold with a biting wind.

Quizzie's has a great morning out with 3 of her four legged friends.

Wet, muddy and now snuggled up fast asleep - she's such a happy girl

And to think people used to complain about Royal Mail.

Hermes and Yodel leave a lot to be desired

All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

Afternoon all.

Took a double take at your post Rod, thought you had said you had fallen foul of herpes

Been a murky old day, dry but grey and dank.

Fish & Chips for supper later tonight

Just got it - had been put through letterbox of number 74 (I'm 68). Now if it fitted through the letterbox of that house - why didn't he put it through the correct one - mine?

you don't look a day over 40 , Glad you've got your parcel Rod, I'd be needing a apple juice after that.

Cool

It’s tipping it down. Heating on, (sorry Rod), to dry out the washing.

Beef and ginger casserole done in the slow cooker. Cooked a few sprouts to go with it. And very tasty dinner it was. More for tomorrow.

Trying a drop of Bramble gin with tonic this evening, more gin than tonic.
