im after the 190 keys for the AST timing tools so i can do my belts over winter.

You only need the tools if you remove the pulleys from the cams at the main belt end - you don't need to remove them to do the belt as there is enough slack when the tensioner is off

Just take your time and make sure you mark everything up properly before you remove the main belt.


It's really no more difficult than doing a twin cam 4 potter. Although it is easier to be 180deg out on the KV6! - best way to check this is by making sure the marks on the rear smaller belt pulleys line up, then you know it's fine.

And put the locking pin in the flywheel.

Yes, lock it in safe position.

Just make sure all the marks are in the right place when putting the new belts on then adjust the tensioner, take the locking pin out and turn it over a couple of times slowly by hand making sure the marks you made are all still lining up OK.

Oh - and make sure you have plenty of threadlock!!
